Revision policy

Preserving history is part of the data.

This policy defines how BoliviaDB will treat corrections, revisions, replacements, and conflicts across releases.

01

The official source governs

BoliviaDB does not replace an official release. It preserves the source file and publication-date reference.

02

Corrections do not erase history

When a source changes values, the new version is published without deleting prior vintages where the product supports them.

03

Transformations are explicit

Unit, scale, frequency, and aggregation changes are documented in metadata.

04

Conflicts are escalated

If official releases disagree, the series remains under review until the source hierarchy is resolved.
